Deckhand/Steward Caro hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Caro brings a dynamic spirit and a passion for the ocean to her role on board. After spending over a decade as a competitive showjumper, her love for nature and adventure led her to volunteer with sea turtle conservation in Madagascar—an experience that sparked her transition to a marine-focused career. Caro relocated to Durban’s south coast, where she became a certified dive instructor and spent three years working at one of the world’s premier shark diving destinations. Her dive career also took her to Mozambique, Greece, South Korea, and the Philippines, where she instructed divers and worked aboard various vessels. In 2022, she completed her yachting certifications and attended a yacht bootcamp in the Dominican Republic in 2023, further refining her maritime skills. She gained additional hands-on experience through day work on yachts in Fort Lauderdale and has spent the last two years working on charter boats throughout the Virgin Islands—a place she now calls home. With a versatile skill set as a deckhand, stewardess, and dive instructor, Caro is dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Her long-term goal is to captain her own charter catamaran in the US Virgin Islands, where she combines her enthusiasm, professionalism, and warm hospitality to ensure every guest feels right at home.
